Finance Arabia is an independent site offering free financial calculators and trustworthy guides on money, investing and fintech for people living and working in the Gulf. This page explains who writes our content, how we work and how we handle mistakes.
Who we are
The site is run by a small editorial team focused on personal finance and financial technology. Every article and every calculator is written and reviewed before it's published, and content is signed by the Finance Arabia editorial team.
How we write
- Official sources first: the published text of laws and regulations (such as Gulf labour laws), central bank and regulator rules, company announcements and official price lists.
- Numbers you can check: we date our information, say when a figure is an estimate, and link to calculators so you can verify it yourself.
- No invented experiences: we never claim personal experiences we didn't have. Reviews are based on published specs, fees, terms and comparison with alternatives.
- Plain language: we write for everyday readers, with worked examples in real numbers.
How we build our calculators
Our calculators apply the published rules and standard financial formulas, and we test them against hand-calculated examples. They run in your browser and we don't store what you enter. Gold and exchange rates come from public data providers and update automatically.
Independence
- No company pays for a positive review or a higher score.
- If we ever publish sponsored content or earn a commission from a link, we'll say so clearly on that page.
- Editorial decisions — including pointing out weaknesses — rest with the editorial team alone.
Updates and corrections
We review important articles regularly and update them when rules or prices change; the last-updated date appears on each article. If you spot a mistake or outdated information, contact us and we'll review and correct it.
